Finding the door on Liebig Street
We are the low bluestone frontage on the eastern side, with the brass lens lit in the window after dark. If the window is dark we are shut.
Kerb parking on the street is free after six and there is a car park one block back that never fills.
The side lane gives level entry to the back room, and the coaches into town stop a three-minute walk away.
By car
Free kerbside after 6pm, car park one block behind.
On foot
Ten minutes up from the foreshore path.
Level entry
Side lane door, and one table set for a wheelchair.
Bookings
Before you ring
- Can I still get in tonight?
- Ring up to seven; later than that only if the board is quiet.
- Is there a deposit?
- Never. A phone call books it and a phone call cancels it.
- Can I hold a card table?
- Two of the six, for up to five people.
- Larger groups?
- Up to thirty in the back room, Sunday evenings, three weeks' notice.
